Over the years I have collected  notes on 75% of the whiskies that I have tried, so the list as presented on this site is still far from complete. Why you may ask? Well a couple of those whiskies were put to the test after a few beers. Whether my palate was no longer up to the task, or I just did not feel comfortable writing down notes in the pub, I leave up to you. 

  < 75: undrinkable, avoid at all costs
75-79: acceptable, give it a try but don't spend to much money on it
80-84: average, enjoyable whiskies mostly easy sippable entry-level Single Malt 
85-89: above average drams, often well aged expressions, open your wallet
90-94: excellence, sorry kids no x-mas presents this year, daddy needs this bottle
95-99: divinity, call your bank manager for another mortgage on your house

Another possibility and probably one of the most common problems that I see my colleagues struggle with is that you simply don't pick up enough notes to write a review. Needless to say that in those cases, one better refrains from writing a review instead of coming up with some BS notes, or worse steal them from other sites. As always, Please remember, the facts expressed here belong to everybody, the opinions to me.
